ASF Interiors Design Process And Fees
Design built around your vision
Our fees are never pulled from a price list. They are built with you - shaped by the scope you define and the level of involvement you need.
how we work
A process that is as important as the result
Every project begins with a conversation. We take the time to understand how you live, what you love, and what you're trying to create, before we ever discuss numbers.
01
Discovery & Site Visit
We meet in your space. We observe what's working, what isn't, and what the project truly needs. This visit shapes everything that follows.
02
Scope of Work
Together, we define the full scope of your project zones, deliverables, and priorities. Your Scope of Work is a living document you help create.
03
Tier & Fee Agreement
Based on your scope and how much you need the designer involved, we identify the right service tier. Your fee reflects your project, not someone else's.
04
Design & Delivery
We execute with precision, from concept and sourcing to contractor coordination and final styling - all at the level of involvement that works for you.

our fee philosophy
Fees built on scope, not assumption
At ASF Interiors, design fees are not set by square footage or pulled from a standard rate card. They are built on a single foundation: the Scope of Work you and your designer define together.

Scope is everything. It reflects how many rooms, how much complexity, how many decisions need to be made, and how much you need your designer involved from start to finish.

A client who wants a complete, white glove experience will have a different scope than one who needs expert direction and then takes the reins. Both are valid. Both are priced accordingly.

Once your scope is clear, we apply our tier system - a structured framework that translates your level of need into a transparent, flat-fee proposal.

what shapes your scope
Every scope is a conversation, not a calculation
The factors below all influence how your Scope of Work comes together, and ultimately, the fee that reflects it. No two scopes are identical, which is exactly the point.
deliverable types
contractor coordination - custom vs. sourced elements - timeline & phasing
size & Complexity - Number of Spaces - Level of INVOLVEMENT Needed
